How to Create an Email Account in cPanel (Step-by-Step Guide)

This article clearly and thoroughly explains how to create a new email account in cPanel step by step.

1. Log in to cPanel

  1. Access your cPanel control panel using your access URL (for example: yourdomain.com:2083) and your credentials.



2. Go to the email section

  1. Once inside cPanel, locate the Email section.

  2. Click on Email Accounts.



 3. Create a new email account

  1. Inside Email Accounts, click the + Create button.

  2. The Create an Email Account form will open.

  3. Fill in the account details and click + Create


4. Confirmation and verification

After creating the account:

  • You will see your new email address listed in Email Accounts. 

  • From here you can access options such as:

    • Check Email (to open webmail).

    • Manage (to change password, storage space, etc.).

7. Access your email (Webmail)

To check your email directly from any web browser:

  1. Go to yourdomain.com/webmail or webmail.yourdomain.com

  2. Enter the login credentials you just set up

  3. Open RoundCube to access your mailbox

Additional tip: Configure your email client

  • From Webmail, you can also use the "Automatically configure my device" option to get automatic email configurations for Outlook, Thunderbird, iOS/Android, etc. 

  • If you want to manually configure your email client, you can use these settings:

    Secure SSL/TLS Settings (Recommended)

    Username: Your full email account (For example: charly@help.wbz.mx)
    Password: The email account password.
    Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.com (for example: mail.help.wbz.mx)
    • IMAP Port: 993
    Outgoing server: mail.help.wbz.mx
    • SMTP Port: 465
    IMAP, POP3 and SMTP require authentication.
